The Cape Ann Historical Museum is located at 27 Pleasant Street in downtown Gloucester, Massachusetts, America's oldest fishing port. Cape Ann, which includes the city of Gloucester as well as the towns of Rockport, Manchester, and Essex, has also been a leading center for artists since the 19th century and the source of granite for building projects up and down the East coast. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, please note that the museum is closed on major holidays and for the month of February. The library and archives are accessible by appointment.
